3 £1 doubles & £1 ew treble
Multielle 3.22 @ 4/1
Nomadic Empire 3.10 @ 10/3
Royal Prospect 4.20 @ 15/1
Selected Leicester – good to firm on this stiff and galloping track
2.00 PREMIUM RACE
3.10 It’s not a deep heat and this could well be an overdue and deserved win for useful sprinter Nomadic Empire, who’s been given a chance by the handicapper and early season form saw him going close in better races off higher marks . Tactically versatile and likes quick turf.
½ pt win Nomadic Empire @ 10/3
3.45 Winnetka is rarely far away but wins continue to elude while the consistent We’re Reunited comes here on the back of a terrific effort in a deep Bath handicap off this mark and at long odds, keeping on well , but does paddle late on over this slightly longer trip . Amathus holds his form pretty well and ran a good race at Goodwood last time and this stiffer track is in his favour and gets the nod . The lightly raced Roman Power ran a decent race in her first handicap last time and is not to be underestimated .
¼ pt win Amathus @ 5/2
4.20 Manumission has done exceptionally well since joining David Evans , 2 wins and 2 seconds , but the latest victory came in a seller , with a very modest sort back in 3rd and both the 5 pound hit and the extra furlong could stop his march . The late playing Royal Prospect is only 2 pounds higher for landing a winnable Carlisle handicap at this trip , his first win for 2 years , when successful off a 30 pound higher mark ! That win will have done his confidence the world of good and could well follow up in this winnable apprentice handicap and is drawn close to the likely pacesetter .
½ pt ew Royal Prospect @ 15/2
Selected Listowel – good ground on this flat and sharp track
1.40 The consistent bumper horse Party Central is the short priced fav in this big field novice hurdle but as Beret Gorge has comparable bumper form and was 2nd in this race last year , has to be the play in a race more of quantity than quality .
½ pt win Beret Rouge @ 11/4
2.10 Another short priced Gordon Elliott bumper horse trying hurdles for the first time but this C&D could be plenty sharp for this stout staying type and in another uncompetitive heat , Babylon Beach looks a pretty safe ew play after a good 2nd at this trip last time on similar ground .
¼ pt ew Babylon Beach @ 6/1
3.50 It’s a wide open handicap for young hurdlers and the one that caught my eye was Son of Hypnos, successful in his first handicap , creating a favourable impression by going with the pace then coming back for more before staying on strongly and could be let in lightly with the 6 pound hit.
¼ pt ew Son Of Hypnos @ 8/
Selected Hamilton – very soft ground on this undulating , stiff and galloping track
2.17 He doesn’t win very often but Stallone is on a really good mark and the deeper the ground the better .
¼ pt win Stallone @ 10/3
2.50 The soft ground and higher mark are both against the ex_Irish The Cola Kid ,while the reliable and versatile Global Humor , could well struggle on the deep ground . The prolific Ventura Flame is a three time C&D winner and deep ground no issue and expected to land this despite the 3 pound hit .
½ pt win Ventura Flame @ 2/1
3.22 Multielle won this race in 2018 & 2019 and as he’s getting no younger, this very much looks his target for the season . He’s had a very light season , but job done he’s back to below his last winning mark and revels in the mud. Expect a much more positive ride today in this winnable heat .
½ pt win Multielle @ 4/1
3.55 All of these are having a job getting their noses in front but Retirement Beckons has been going closer than most and is a dual C&d winner and soft ground no issue .
¼ pt win Retirement Beckons @ 4/1
5.00 First Greyed only has two wins , both on testing ground and as he’s proven here , could take advantage of a very good handicap mark .
¼ pt win First Greyed @ 6/1
Selected Warwick – good ground on this flat and sharp track
1.50 Looks a match but Van Meergeren is making a right meal of getting his nose in front and preference for First Street , successful on her hurdles debut beating a reliable yardstick and impressed with her attitude .
½ pt win First Street @ 10/11
2.25 PREMIUM RACE
3.00 The well handicapped Vison Des Flos made no mistake last time when front running to a comfortable victory and the double looks on as the incredibly consistent Pink eyed Pedro , could find it happening all too quickly around this sharp C&D down in trip.
½ pt win Vison Des Flos @ 11/4
3.35 PREMIUM RACE
Selected Fairyhouse – good ground on this stiff and galloping track
2.55 Should be a cakewalk for the realistically 91 rated Recurrent Dream , but is 2/5.
3.30 Adelisa is massively consistent including good runs in handicaps off a very decent mark of 80 . Expect her to front run today down in trip and a fine chance for a deserved win .
¼ pt win Adelisa @ 2/1
4.37 A valuable Listed race for 2yos and the fav is the highest rated , Ultramine , but remains a maiden and this drop in trip can’t help. Glengarra holds his form well and holds a decision over the fav when conceding weight .
½ pt win Glengarra @ 13/2
5.10 A good quality nursery and very little between Unconquerable Ken , New Star and Heytesbury Lane who all ran very well in a similar event at The Curragh at this trip but the nod goes to the latter as she’s proved she knows how to win .
¼ pt ew Heytesbury Lane @ 13/2
5.40 Not a deep sprint and the vote goes to recent C&d winner Dandyville who backed that up with a big run when 3rd in a big field at The Curragh , finishing a few lengths behind the consistent Lord Dudley , but has a nice pull in the weights and was badly drawn in that Curragh event .
1/2pt win Dandyville @ 10/3
Selected Wolver – all weather – tapeta
5.30 The front running C&d winner True Hero has the best of the draw to make another bold bid , only 2 pounds higher for a typically tenacious win at Chelmsford City last time , but this is competitive with hat-trick seeking Street Life unpenalised for beating a couple of very much in form types at Haydock last time and has also run well here . Another well drawn and in form runner is the late playing course specialist Kingholme but despite the worst of the draw, the well treated 6 times C&d winner Mutabaahy drops into Class 5 after a close 3rd over C&D last time in higher grade .
¼ pt ew Mutabaahy @ 8/1
6.30 The in form Storm Melody would do very well to feature with a stiff penalty and racing from a bad draw. Freedom Flyer has run a couple of solid races in defeat of late over C&D and dropping in grade and the ratings, could land this winnable event .
¼ pt ew Freedom Flyer @ 6/1
7.30 A weak event and the consistent Blue Beret is certainly the one to beat , despite weakening late on in a previous try over C&D, but wasn’t beaten very far and now lower in the ratings .
½ pt win Blue Beret @ 9/4
8.30 The reliable Azets comes here on the back of an amazing run at Chelmsford City when losing many lengths at the start and came flying home to be a cracking 2nd . He’s a C&D winner off around this mark and as usual will give us a good run for our money .
¼ pt win Azets @ 5/1
