Today's trixie - Close yesterday with 2 winners 3/1 & 7/2
3 £1 doubles & £1 ew treble
Sheriff Garrett 3.30 @ 7/2
Prop Forward 3.40 @ 10/3
The Yellow Mini 2.45 @9/4
Selected Fontwell – good to soft on this sharp track
1,35 A chance can be given to all five but the prolific pair of Champagne City and Wasdell Dundalk would do very well to carry on the good work now on stiff marks. Paslovsky was also prolific and progressive last season and as he came to hand early and is still unexposed , given the nod over the novice Small Bad Bob , who goes handicapping on a workable mark .
¼ pt win Pasvolsky @ 4/1
2.45 George Bancroft comes here on the back of two wins on the flat and very much respected first time over hurdles for a good stable but preference is for The Yellow Mini , who was no great shakes on the flat but this prominent racer has a win and a good 2nd over C&d in just tries and brings much stronger form to the table than Keepyourdreamsbig .
½ pt win The Yellow Mini @ 9/4
3.55 The front running hat-trick seeking Master Tickle has a C&D win on his CV and off just a 3 pound higher mark, the hat-trick looks very much on against very beatable opposition .
½ pt win Master Tickle @ 10/11
Selected Hexham – good ground on this undulating, galloping and very stiff track
1.15 The Irish raider Island Mcgee is the form horse but as she’s been kept to speed tracks , this course could be a problem . Methag has no issues with the track , hitting the frame twice in two tries , and went close in this last year off a 5 pound higher mark , but her form after a break is patchy at best . Misscarlet was a facile winner at this trip at Uttoxeter but struggled next time around the tight turns of Southwell. She has since ran a blinder on the flat on the Newcastle tapeta, splitting a pair of very much in form types , and despite being on a tough enough mark , she looks on the up and this track could well suit .
¼ pt win Misscarlett @ 6/1
1.45 Not a deep race and the mightily progressive Burrows Diamond goes chasing for the first time , on an 8 pound higher mark for his last win , and took a bit of time to find his form last season. Away At Dawn ran the prolific Sir tivo close last time and if handling this stiff circuit , could collect an overdue and deserved win .
¼ pt win Away At Dawn @ 4/1
2.20 This looks very much a match between the two Irish raiders but as Bellaney Gem has run well on stiff tracks before gets the nod over Gladiatorial, first time ever away from a speed track .
½ pt win Bellaney Jewel @ 7/4
2.55 Breaking The Ice is now on a very stiff mark and has this track to beat too but no concerns with this C&D with course specialist , the very tough and determined Real Amani , who I’d be a lot stronger with but for the fact that runs after a break , not his best .
¼ pt win Real Amani @ 4/1
3.30 Sheriff Garrett has a terrific record here and has taken it to a new level since adopting front running tactics, but finds himself on a 3 pound higher mark for another big run over C&D last time . He’s likely to get his own way up front and is preferred to the hat-trick seeking youngster Bavington Bob , who would prefer much softer ground .
½ pt win Sheriff Garrett @ 7/2
4.05 PREMIUM RACE
Selected Ascot – good ground on this stiff and galloping track
1.55 PREMIUM RACE
3.05 Chalk Stream has seriously taken off of late but his last win came in a handicap off a mark of 94, a good performance , but is up against a couple of highly rated sorts , proven in this grade, and higher ! Scope has had a light season, no bad thing this time of year and comes here on the back pf a strong staying on 6th in the St Leger , running to his lofty mark of 109, and the drop into Listed Company should see him finally in the Winners’ Circle this season.
½ pt win Scope @ 7/4
3.40 Prop Forward comes here on a hat-trick and his last two wins puts him on a most workable mark in his handicap debut . He wears famous colours and his dame was a useful sort . Bickerstaffe continues to run well and is the danger .
½ pt win Prop Forward @ 10/3
4.15 PREMIUM RACE
4.50 PREMIUM RACE
Selected Dundalk – all weather – polytrack
4.45 At the ratings it looks very much a match as both Harry’s Bar and The Highway Rat both go well here but at this trip , the former may have to give way to younger legs .
½ pt win The Highway Rat @ 6/4
5.45 Not a race for your last fiver as all of these have had plenty of chances and running out of excuses. Spilt Passion brings the best form to the table and is effective over C&D to a decent level . Should be her day .
¼ pt win Split Passion @ 15/8
6.45 A valuable Listed race and despite dropping in trip ,Absolute Ruler is the one to beat , proven on the surface and an excellent 3rd in a Group 2 last time, and that’s the best form on offer .
½ pt win Absolute Ruler @ 5/2
7.15 A typical big field low grade Dundalk handicap with plenty hard to win with . Royal Scholar has had a light season and has some tidy form over C&D off a higher mark.
¼ pt win Royal Scholar @ 6/1
8.15 A good quality handicap for closing and it’s likely to be a shoot out between the three clear form horses in the progressive Ben siegel , who’s been penalised 17 pounds ! for a cakewalk last time at Down Royal , but as he’s proven here and that was this youngster’s first try at middle distances , impossible to rule out . Miss Daisy is also highly progressive but when successful at Fairyhouse had Blue Shadow 3 lengths back In 3rd but as the latter enjoys a hefty 9 pound pull in the weights and is proven over C&D gets the nod .
¼ pt win Blue Shadow @ 4/1
Selected Newcastle – all weather – tapeta . The track is stiff and galloping
4.55 A highly uncompetitive opener which looks good for the short priced fav , the prolific Khatm, who earlier in the season rattled off 6 wins and a 2nd in 7 outings and his recent close 2nd over C&D recently off a slightly lower mark is well good enough to land this .
¾ pt win Khatm @ 11/10
5.25 This is the very opposite of the preceding event as this is massively competitive and hard to rule anything conclusively out of it . The very well handicapped Harry Love put in an improved display last time and drops into Class 5 where his record stands at 2 wins and a place from 3 tries . He is unproven on the surface but worth a dabble surely .
¼ pt ew Harry Love @ 8/1
6.30 Willard Creek has run two solid races , the latest over C&D which gives him the nod .
½ pt win Willard Creek @ 5/2
7.00 Say Grace did well at Wolver last time so the surface is fine and should be Ok on this stiffer circuit with good runs at Wolver over a longer trip but the nod goes to Global Mirage after an eyecatching 4th at Kempton , eating up the ground late on . Claim To Fame has been going well here but the nudge up the ratings and drop in trip no help at all .
¼ p tew Global Mirage @ 6/1
7.30 Pacino has showed a bit more recently and is now very well handicapped . He’s run this C&D well in the past off much higher marks and should be beating these .
¼ pt win Pacino @ 3/1
8.00 The long standing maiden Must Be An angel went tantalisingly close over C&D but with some very modest sorts close up, the form doesn’t look strong and I prefer a dabble on the consistent Bawaader , in a race which wont take much winning .
¼ pt ew Bawaader @ 6/1
8.30 Not a deep finale and it looks a match between the back to form Another Angel ,who runs this C&D very well , but does go up in grade and there are other front runners in the field, so clear preference is for the reliable Buniann , who’s been going well on turf and this late player’s record here is 4 wins and 4 places from 10 tries and is just a pound above his last winning mark here .
½ pt win Buniann @ 5/2
