We're Reunited 2.30 @ 16/1
Super Superjack 5.25 @ 10/3
Super Over 7.00 @ 6/1
Selected Nottingham – good to soft on this flat and galloping track , ground is drying
1.00Qitaal brings the best form to the table and his 3rd at Haydock came In a competitive maiden . Not so good next time but it was at the stiff Hamilton on easy ground . Better expected today .
½ pt win Qitaal @ 10/3
2.05 Candy Kitchen made a right fist of it last time at Thirsk , trying to make all in a competitive maiden and only finding one too good. Compensation likely unless, as with the first tip , any of the newcomers are forward enough to spoil the party.
½ pt win Candy Kitchen @ 11/4
2.40 Godolphin forked out £180,000 for the well related Red Joan ,and must be disappointed with how things have gone , as here she is , 0 wins in 5 tries , and racing off a mark of just 66 . She has been showing a bit of ability of late and both the ease in the ratings and longer trip can see a more forward showing .
¼ pt win Red Joan @ 5/1
3.15 PREMIUM RACE
3.50 A most winnable nursery as the drop in trip and drying ground wont help either of the market leaders in Helvetique and Bay Breeze . Silky Wilkie will be all the better for breaking his duck last time after 4 seconds ! Mark , ground and C&d all look fine .
½ pt win Silky wilkie @ 7/2
4.25 The penny has certainly dropped for Raasel , and comes here with bright hopes of landing a hat-trick , despite the 5 pound hit , but last time , he won over C&d with Hey Mr , not far away in 3rd and will be seen to advantage if the juice stays In the ground. I have less hopes for the other hat-trick seeker in Natural Path with the drop in trip more of an issue than the 3 pound penalty .
¼ pt win Hey Mr @ 4/1
4.55 PREMIUM RACE
Selected Wetherby – good ground on this flat and galloping track
2.13 Two exciting prospects to the novice chasing ranks but Third Time Lucky was rated slightly higher as a hurdler than the prolific Pay The Piper , and the ground will suit more as should the C&D .
½ pt win Third Time Lucky @ 5/6
2.48 A few seasons ago, Siruh Du Lac was toughing out wins off high marks in hot chases at Cheltenham , but was only seen once last year, losing his jockey at the first and despite his raw ability being well good enough to lift this , I’d just rather watch him today . Glencassley brings winning form to the table, but that came 5 months ago , and the form isn’t earth shattering , and also carries the dreaded penalty . Preference is for the 96 rated flat horse Cardano .
¼ pt Cardano @3/1
4.33 The drop In trip and a rare run left handed are negatives for the useful Prince Escalus, who could well be vulnerable today , despite a very encouraging chase debut recently . Ballyvic Boru is a bit in and out but runs this C&D very well and certainly on a good mark .
¼ pt win Ballyvic Boru @ 11/2
5.05 Tommy’s Oscar was mightily prolific and progressive last season , culminating with an excellent 3rd in the Scottish Champion Hurdle , off this mark and similar ground , so this C&D should suit well . He came to hand early last season , and despite this looking competitive , gets the nod . The once very useful flat horse Alqamar comes here on a 5 timer , and off just a 3 pound higher mark , worthy of plenty of respect as too are Take It Easy and Constancio.
¼ pt win Tommy’s Oscar @ 13/8
Selected Bath- good to firm on this undulating, sharp but stiff track
1.55 A big field nursery for starters and the in form Bluebell Way has finished 2nd here in his last two runs , both off this mark and on quick ground , but this hold up type has a nasty wide draw to overcome . Therehegoes came into his latest race here in very good form , but this front runner, missed the start , but ran very well for a long way , chasing a[i]useful one who was given too much rope . If breaking on terms could take a bit of catching
1/4 pt win Therehegoes @ 4/1
2.30 A huge field for this sprint handicap and a number of these have been prolific here of late , the two main ones being Ruby Cottage , 2 wins and 3 places in her last 5 here , but the 5 pound hit has to test , and the prolific Cherish , 5 wins in 6 starts , but had to work hard to land the last of those wins , in quite a modest heat , and no real surprise when she struggled in a hot race here next time off her new mark . We’re Reunited ran a cracker in that race when front rank throughout and kept going very bravely to stick on for an honourable 3rd off this mark , and hasn’t been disgraced since. Very well drawn and looks the day’s best longshot .
½ pt ew We’re Reunited @ 16/1
4.15 A valuable Class 1 for fillies and understandably the short priced fav is the lightly raced and already useful Abstinence , who should relish this C&D and looks a solid fav . She can be a bit of a madam at the start .
½ pt winAbstinence @ 11/8
4.50 This has a winnable look to it with plenty of in form and reliable types, but now on testing marks, one of those is the tip , but likely to appreciate this stiff test and I’d be a lot more confident if it wasn’t for the first time blinkers , not successful in the past for trainer Ed Walker .
¼ pt win Dreamweaver @ 6/1
5.25 Super superjack has certainly found his niche racing here , 2 wins and 3 close defeats in 5 starts . Still on a fair mark and this longer trip should help too .
½ pt win Super Superjack @ 10/3
5.55 Few come into this with high hopes and the in form and consistent Lamorna Cove brings useful form to the table and should be up to landing this .
½ pt win Lamorna Cove @ 4/1
Selected Kempton – all weather – polytrack
5.00 Good Earth has never strut his stuff on the al weather and a stiff penalty for a win in the Brighton mud , no help at all . Brazen Belle was gifted her last win in an amateur riders’ race on the Lingfield polytack and the double unlikely with a stiff penalty and a bad draw. The consistent Molly Shaw can only be watched in her first try on synthetics , especially from the worst of the draw so it gives the in form Got No Dollars solid claims who backed up an easy win at Chelmsford City with a close 2nd over C&D off this mark . Draw a bit wider than ideal, but is a smooth traveller who should get into the race with no bother . The fav is the well drawn Sovereign Slipper stepped up with a 4th over C&d last time , but never looked like winning .
½ pt win Got No Dollars @ 10/3
5.30 The usually consistent Claim The Stars is well drawn for a prominent racer and has a useful 2nd over C&d off a mark of 78 on his Cv . He was entitled to do much better in a big field Class 2 last time and has since left Mark Johnston , but the owners remain loyal, and the change of scenery often helps . Penguin Island has a bit to prove down in trip .
¼ pt win Claim The stars @4/1
6.00 Fernando Rah hasn’t had s great deal of racing and gives the impression that the best is yet to come . He made a bold bid from the front last time at Newcastle last time ,which takes a bit of doing on that stiff track . Well drawn to attack around this more benign track , could take a bit of catching . Nelson Gay has a very stiff penalty for an overdue win at Wolver in a modest heat , and drawn badly while Run To Freedom has it to prove dropping in trip .
½ pt win Fernando Rah @ 9/2
6.30 A very open Class 4 nursery and a chance can be given to many but with Roger Charlton’s excellent record in nurseries , having a try with the very consistent Moon Island , on a fair mark in his first handicap .
¼ pt win Moon Island @ 6/1
7.00 Super Over is highly consistent and comes here on the back of a close 3rd over C&D off this mark. He’s drawn a bit wide for a front runner , but the other two pacesetters are drawn even wider . If Hollie Doyle can control things from the front, a deserved win can be his .
½ pt ew Super Over @ 6/1
7.30 PREMIUM RACE
8.00 Queen of Burgundy has a stiff task to double up on a recent track win with a stiff penalty, up in trip and the worst of the draw. In a very weak heat , it could be the consistent Mr Freeze’s day at last . He’s frequently 2nd but wins most elusive , but has run some solid races over C&d in better races than this .The faster they go up front the better for this late player .
¼ pt win Mr Freeze @ 5/1
8.30 A similar race with very few coming here with bright hopes . The fav is the well drawn Tell Em Nowt , who’s been getting closer with the ease in the ratings , but is 0 from 7 at this trip. Preference is for the lightly raced His Pride , who’s run well in both of his handicap runs off this mark . New to the surface and draw unkind, but still looks a good play .
½ p t win His Pride @ 6/1
